I've already stated it isn't a case of should we use mobile devices in learning and education, but when!

The chair has asked for evidence to support our arguments and other parents have challenged me to show proof of how our kids, who already use their mobile phones a lot, will possibly embrace their use for their learning.

Well, here's a link that not only supports my argument FOR using mobile devices NOW, but provides examples of how they have successfully been used to support learning and education and the kids loved it!
